AI Teaching Modules for High School Educators

IFML is committed to broadening participation and engaging women and underrepresented communities in the fields of machine learning and artificial intelligence. With OpenAI's ChatGPT dominating the headlines, high-school educators can easily access and integrate our eight-lesson NLP teaching module to introduce their students to Natural Language Processing. The lessons are short, professionally recorded lectures that are accompanied by a project to be done by the teacher and students to expand the existing HS curriculum. Interested in using these lessons in your classroom?

UT Computer Science Summer Academies for High School Students

IFML is partnering with UT Computer Science to integrate Machine Learning into its summer academies. UTCS offers a variety of distinct summer academies for high school students, designed to engage students with the potential of computing and the excitement of problem solving through unique hands-on experiences. For summer 2023, the department is offering 10 academies -- free academies that focus on increasing diversity and inclusion in STEM, and tuition-based with topics ranging from game development to iOS app development to robotics. Academies are offered in-person and virtually. Questions? Please contact academies@cs.utexas.edu. For more information, visit UTCS Summer Academies.

  • Expanding Pathways in Computing (EPIC)

In collaboration with EPIC’s WeTeach_CS program, IFML is hosting programs for High School teachers to learn about AI and develop ways to integrate machine learning into established High School Curricula.
